“Wu-Tang is Forever” – Book Design

Realization

The longtime European manager of the Wu-Tang Clan Eva Ries put pen to paper and released a book about her time with the clan. Wild stories, rough escapades and captivating background information set the scene as readers are invited back into the world of the legendary 90’s rap group.
A design system was created that draws the reader into the Wu-Tang world, the iconic yellow and black color scheme is woven in and out of many vibrant pages. Angular and pointed typefaces give the book a polished, sharp look, paired with grungy backgrounds and handwritten tags like those found on the rough streets of New York.
